TOURNAMENT RULES FOR PLAY

1. Each player rolls the dice to determine East

2. East will keep the score

3. Prior to the START signal, walls may be built, East may roll and break the wall

4. THE TILES CANNOT BE DEALT UNTIL THE START SIGNAL HAS BEEN GIVEN

5. You may not peek at a tile you borrow for a blind pass

6. The Charleston may be stopped after the first left. Make it known if you are considering stopping the pass

7. At the end of the Charleston, if it is discovered that a player has the incorrect number of tiles, the game

can be restarted if East has not discarded. If East has discarded, the hand with the incorrect number

of tiles is DEAD and the game continues with the remaining players

8. No picking ahead. Make sure the player in front of you has completed their discard before you reach for

your tile.

9. When you name a tile for discard or the tile touches the table, you must discard the tile

10. If a tile is drawn from the wrong end of the wall and racked, the hand is dead.

11. If you lift or move a tile from the wall, it belongs to you.

has her fingers on it. The tile you draw must be placed in your rack and your fingers must be off

13. If a player calls for a tile, places it on her rack, but has not exposed any tiles, she can return it to the table

should she decide she does not want it

Jongg.

15. When you call for Mah Jongg, please display your hand as it is displayed on the card

16. If Mah Jongg is called in error and the tiles are exposed, the hand is declared DEAD. If other players

expose their hands, they are also DEAD. The remaining players continue play. Any jokers that were

displayed before the hand was dead may be exchanged by other players

17. NEVER REMOVE A JOKER FROM ANOTHER PLAYERS RACK. ALWAYS HAND THE PLAYER THE

TILE AND LET THEM HAND YOU THE JOKER
